Love your paintings dude, I just wish you'd go maybe an extra 2 steps and really refine the shape and tone. I like the style you're working with, don't get me wrong. I'd just love to see what your interpretation of photo-realism is.

I don't know if you know Hannes (algenpfleger) but he have some really cool step-by-step images and .PSD files so you can open them with Photoshop and check every step.

Just a work about realism.. What makes image real in first place is lighting and colors (hue, values, chroma). So this is the thing to work on to get close to realism.

I completely agree with lighting & colours. For instance, the vast majority of things in your gallery look like photographs from the thumbnails, it's only when you're up close that you see the brush strokes. It's all because when we see objects in every day life, we take in colours, reflections, tones, shades etc before shape right?

That's right. You don't see shape (outline). You see value
