Description Final Bell Boxing, the biggest boxing promotion company in England, are delighted to announce their latest recruit. Takara Oshima will soon take a long flight to move to London and join their ranks.

Oshima, currently ranked sixth worldwide in the Lightweight division, has an undefeated record of 13-0. She signed a deal for seven fights with a clause to extend, and will be coached by the legendary Clifford Little.

"When I heard of Takara's situation, I packed my best suits and went to Tokyo to hold talks over hot and cold sake, only to find that most of the Japanese prefer beer, says Jimmy Bell, founder and CEO of Final Bell. Anyway, I found a motivated and charming young woman who wishes to bring her explosive fists to Europe, so making a deal wasn't a problem. I'm confident that I found the next Lightweight champion of the world and that English audiences will fall in love with her."

The boxer herself is pretty enthusiastic about the decision. Well, that's what she told us to print.

"Moving away from the batshit crocodile who used to coach me is a necessary step for my career and that means fighting outside of Japan, says Oshima. I don't care if the Japanese federation takes my national belt away. My new aim is a world title and I'm happy to box for the biggest promoter in England."

"I want to use this opportunity to offer a public apology to Akane Watanabe, who never deserved the treatment she got in Japan. I am deeply sorry for having been part of the shameful event in Osaka, and can only wish to make amends if Akane-san ever allows me to do so."

I like that tag. "Final Bell Boxing."

Final Bell? No knockouts guaranteed.

Takara leaves Japan, too. Like Akane did. I wonder whether she is about to have the same fate that Akane had. We will see. I also wonder whether Naomi can keep coaching. The federation in Japan may not be happy about top fighters leaving the country because of her.

Takara apologizes to Akane. Though it is a nice gesture it was not really necessary because none of what happened to Akane had been Takara's fault. She's just a fighter, and did what fighters do - fight best possible.Β

From the description I read that Takara was not really ready to leave her country. She didn't like to go. It will take time maybe to accept her new home, as much as it may take time to build a new fan base in GB. And with Takara and Akane now only 45 flight minutes away from each other occasional visits may happen.

I think that by signing Takara, Final Bell are promising knockouts

Naomi is in deep trouble. Losing fighters, especially one who just rose to the top 10, doesn't give her a good reputation.

I'll have to cook up the next step for Akane to meet Takara so they can sort themselves out.

But soft muffins are good.Β  Hard muffins are stale!

While Takara obviously needed a new home, I'm mildly surprised to see her leave Japan, after all, it is a place where she is the most popular and I'm sure there is some 'non batshit crocodile' coaches for her to work with .Β

Also, Takara did not mince words when it comes to her former coach.

Nice to see Takara apologize as well, I do wonder if there is a potential friendship there.Β  I don't see another match happening, but I do see maybe a reconciliation of sorts.

Final bell boxing is a great name for a promoter.Β  Damn!

Takara is a bit different. She shows that crispy muffins can be delicious She also talks like she punches - hard!

The talk with the batshit croc made it clear to Takara that meaningful competition in Japan was out of reach after making a coaching change. In my story, the Warrior Academy pulls the strings through its connections, so she had to leave the country.

Akane and Takara will definitely meet in the future. Let's see how Akane reacts to her former gym mate and ring opponent.

So away from Japan and off to London, two places I would love to travel to. Also happy late birthday Takara! Here are the balloons from the bio post 🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈 You did say send the balloons.

She made the right choice leaving Naomi..I mean the evil crocodile behind and I’m sure that Clifford will be a great coach for her, she’s still undefeated but she’ll have a lot of challenges in the future if she wants to become world champion.

I’m glad that Takara also apologized to Akane, she didn’t mean to be used by Crocodile for her evil plans against her own sister, I wonder if Akane will except her apology and meet up with Takara soon.

β€œNaomi The Crocodile Watanabe!”

You forgot "batshit" in there

Takara is the kind of character for which I had no plans, but developments in the story make her way too interesting. The ties with Akane, the dark knockout, her potential to frame the Lightweight division. Everything is there, unlike some of the "opponents" created for specific stories before.

People will have to get used to her. Besides, I don't expect my Inbox to be flooded with complaints about having attractive Japanese boxers

Well now, THAT'S what I call a step in the right direction! But, I still have a gnawing feeling that Takara and Akane are destined to meet again sometime and try to make amends. After all, their situation (in a sense) is similar to Alesia and Anna and they made amends eventually. It's just a question of how Akane and Takara will meet and when.

I had been thinking about this one for a while and only London stood out as the destination for Takara. Can't say why. It felt natural

Now she can move on her with life, and so will Akane. You can have expectations for these two to meet again. There's no way Takara will let things be the way they are after crushing her former gym mate.

I figured as much! Just like how Alesia wouldn't let things stand after the crap that Anna went through. Oh, and as for London being a natural choice, I certainly don't even have to ask why!Β Β
