✲ [ Description ]:
A clear reflection of his father, Rockpaw is a tiny yet imposing apprentice with a look so sharp he could cut his namesake. Numerous, thick, brown stripes writhe around his dust-colored frame like melted bittersweet chocolate, which is softened by the light brown hue coating his underside. Other than his stripes, the tom-cat's other prominent features are the long locks of heavy fur that almost appear to bristle, as well as his sharp, almost-always slanted amber eyes that are featured so prominently in the rest of his litter. His ears are tall and pointed, and when in combination with his angular jaw Rockpaw's appearance can be described as somewhat wolfish. These traits, coupled with his size, make him quite the intimidating young cat even at his young age; Rockpaw, what with his social awkwardness and the intensity of the respect he feels for his father always looming over him, seems to like it this way. For this reason, he's even learned how to play up his arresting appearance for cats who are easily affected by it!
✲ [ Height ]: Greatly above average; it's clear that he will inherit his parents' heights, and then some.
✲ [ Weight ]: His frame is very broad, and Rockpaw is beginning to put on solid muscle.

✲ [ Personality ]:
+ : independent, inquisitive, earnest
= : perceptive, imposing, soft-spoken
- : compulsive liar, quick-tempered, awkward
✧ While what's on the surface of his disposition is seemingly subdued and subtle, once you get to know him, Rockpaw's general temperament and personality has a flavor that packs a surprising punch! Being somewhat of a middle child (as far as birth order,) any cat wouldn't expect the obvious independence that the tom-cat frequently displays. Rather than following at the edge of the pack, Rockpaw pushes his way forward in an effort to be loud and proud and in the center of attention. The dusky tabby is never shy in speaking his mind, either; though not excessively arrogant, Rockpaw enjoys finding cats who will listen and respect his thoughts like he is their equal — regardless of whether or not the tom is especially brilliant in his thought process. And with his intimidating stature and looks, sometimes this boldness can be rather imposing, especially to cats his age.
✧ Despite being quite headstrong, when confronted Rockpaw is rather soft-spoken. Words and quick comebacks don't come easy to the young tom, and the high energy expressed by his more bubbly and extroverted siblings can leave him stumbling and bumbling to keep up. Not to imply that Rockpaw is any less enthusiastic about games or practicing training techniques — he avidly enjoys showing off his skills — it's just that the tom-cat has difficulty expressing the thoughts that run a mile a minute in his head as actual words. Because of this, the apprentice can be perceived as especially quiet when in reality his struggle lies in powering through his slight social anxieties and general awkwardness in the way others view him. Why try hard and potentially be made fun of when you could just seem cool and composed if you don't?
✧ He is also naturally very curious and inquisitive about the world around him. One could even call him ravenous in his attempts to learn everything and anything he can, and as a young cat it most frequently presents itself in a slightly annoying habit of asking a repetitive "Why?" after being given any sort of order or dissatisfactory answer to a question he's asked. When asked about this particular practice, Rockpaw is always very earnest in his answers and almost endearing in his determination. In contrast to cats who are afraid to ask questions for fear that their questions are stupid, the tom-cat doesn't believe that there is such a thing as a 'dumb' question. Rockpaw's number one goal is to be at least as respected as his own father; by absorbing any knowledge thrown his way, the little cat believes that he gets one step closer to that goal. Don't expect to pull a fast one on the clever apprentice, either— Rockpaw is particularly perceptive, a trait that is simultaneously positive and negative; good because of its use in hunting and patrols, bad in that it makes him a tiny bit...nosy.
✧ Unfortunately, however, Rockpaw isn't lacking of any misbehavior. Though he's well-mannered and does his best to listen to his mother, often his curiosity can get the better of him and lead him into an abundance of trouble. Often cats can find him wandering into this den or that, snatching fun-looking toys when he believes others aren't looking, and causing his own quiet mischief in general. Though, when questioned about his antics Rockpaw has the unfortunate tendency to be a compulsive liar. Even when he's not in trouble, Rockpaw tends to create stories and little white lies without really meaning to in order to avoid even the slightest suspicion, lies which can range from just legitimate to be believable to not in a million years. It's not that he means to lie, necessarily; the lies just blurt out of his mouth before he can stop them, and he frequently forgets that he's even lied about something in the first place. As to what happens when Rockpaw is cornered because of his fibbing? The tom generally becomes very defensive and quick-tempered, furtively denying that any lie ever happened. Though he never lashes out through physical means, when Rockpaw's seemingly genetic temper flares up the apprentice can give quite the cold shoulder, utilizing his intimidation and quietness to come across as quite stolid.
Even so, this bitter silent treatment is particularly short-lived, and you can expect the tom-cat to return to his normal disposition within hours, if not sooner. While Rockpaw can be quite good at pretending to be the bad boy, grudges are not something he's skilled at holding.

[ I. Three Times Two ]
Clan life can be, at times, a life that is quite turbulent, and it can be said that the cats of GroveClan know this better than most. After the rise and falls of tension between the Clan and its newly established sister, RidgeClan, a litter of six healthy kittens borne by Russetnose and Darkwing seemed more than welcome. And within that bustling litter of six was Rockkit, a tom with as many facets to his quirky personality as stripes on his pelt.
