Trade with ~Kimptone !So, after those months of no art, this is what I spit out. Utter crap. But I tried. Believe me, I tried. I also experimented a bit. New shading style, I guess. It looks decent until I had to mess with it to make the light look natural (which I failed at) On the horse, so he didn't look like a sticker. Hah.
The background isn't a total fail, I will say. A new way for grass. Even though I'm still using that damn grass tool, but I'm a bit more happy with the grass than I was before. Black lines, because trust me, they looked better in black! xD
Anyways! I hope I did Witchita justice! Such a beautiful horse!

Gorgeous ! I love how you used the space with a larger area for the background. And the horse and clouds/whole BG, looks just amazing !

This is very good! I love how you go the dapples on her flanks.
Improvements, shade the back half darker, there would be almost all shadows and few highlights. Grass, shrink down the brush size some more as you move further back. Making new layers and down sizing everytime is a good way to remember to do this.

Crap? Nooo... I rather like it! Would be very happy to get something like this in a trade.
The only thing I think would improve it, is if the back half of the horse was shaded darker, and then it'd look like his/her front was jumping from the shadows, just being caught in the light rays. The shading is absolutely fine otherwise, though.
You certainly did do them justice, I think.
