Ohh what a lovely character (:
First off ill say he has a gorgeous design, i love the brown and pink and white together, a very nice mix. The scars could be a little "browner" though- and i say that in quotes because scars obviously are not brown, but pink. but scars are more light and brownish colored. And i cant really tell if that blue thing around her neck i supposed to be a marking, or a necklace.
if its a necklace, make sure you give it lines in the future, so it
pops off her neck more (:

but man, you have AMAZING shading skill. The softness and beauty of her every curve, especially on her shoulder and neck.
really, i'm extremely impressed by your shading abilities (:

As for the background, your ideas on technique are very good i can tell, youve wonderfully stayed away from grass brushes, and the lines on your trees look very nice. I think you really just need to add depth to everything. make dark dark points, are very very light points. as you go farther toward the light source, make sure it gets lighter (: If you want i can direct you to a few really good tutorials that would help you in the areas you need. just remember to add lots of depth,
and then lots of texure to trees and leaves.

You have an over all really good sense of horse anatomy,
and the expression is lovely, i can relate to her feelings,
and see them clearly on the drawing. Keep up the good work!

First off, I wanna say this is absolutely lovely! I love the colors of the forest against the horse's coat and the pose with the head down c:
Your anatomy is actually very good! I don't see much to improe on, except for a couple small things. The horse's belly is a tad bit too thick in comparison with her neck, it makes her look preggers! xD I know shes not, but shes just a little plump is all. I would try thinning her stomach a little bit, or thickening her neck c:
Also, on her rump where her tail ends, it looks a little awkward how the tail starts down low. I think you should keep her rump rounded instead of sticking it out like that, and making the tail start where that bump on her rump is, if you get what im saying!! xD
One last thing~ the two legs touching the ground are uneven, I would try to make them seem like their at the same level, because theres a bit of an illusion here that her left hind leg is almost on the same level as her front left leg.. you know what i mean?

Anyways, that all I have to say! Overall I'd say very nice job here, your anatomy is WONDERFUL, just a few mistakes ^^ I also adore your shading although i would try adding a little more depth with highlights =] I also adore the texture you used, its very unique e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h… " width="15" height="13" alt="" title="Heart"/>
