I favour both the "World-Map" (R1, Origins) and the "Hub-worlds" (Sonic Adventure-style especially

I liked the idea that Legends had too... where it tallies up all the lums you collected throughout the game.

Hence the reasons why it has various side effects on him once consumed.

My favorite are Rayman, Rayman 2: The Great Escape, Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc, Rayman Origins & Rayman Legends.
Rayman's Design in Rayman 3 is probably my favorite Design. I still like his Design from Rayman 1, 2 & Origins/Legends. But I wish his new design can be a hybrid of Rayman 3 & Origins/Legends.
I don't really play Rayman 1 that much, but I really love the music & the pixel graphics.
I still wish for Rayman 4 to come, and Rayman being fully playable in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

I played Rayman 2 a bit on the Dreamcast... I liked it! But I especially LOVED Rayman 3 and I finished it many times! Even in HD!
I like the hybrid you made! Because I also like the design of Rayman 3 and the one of Rayman Origins/Legends..;
The hybrid between them is a good mix!

I didn't get along with Rayman when I was young, because the games I had were Rayman & Rayman 3 GBA. But now I'm starting to really like him now I think since...somewhere in the 2010s.

I played Rayman 1 when I was young, but I stopped playing the Rayman Games until I played Rayman 3 on the GBA and stopped again, then when I got Origins & Legends I am now permanently a Rayman Fan.
