I think this picture is very beautiful, I really like the sky and the pinkish sheen it casts across everything. The way you potrayed the light, glittering off the horses hair and outlineing him, is a really nice effect. The wave really adds to the picture, it gives you the impression of a hidden depth of this picture. His reflection on the sand and the beach itself is just beautiful. I love how you gave light to the wave, like the sun is coming through it. The horses antonamy is also very good, I love the face, not very many people remeber to enclude the brown on the muzzle for a dark bay. I, too, noticed the back legs are alittle short but I think it works out all and all. This is really good for a speed paint, the detailing and shading are just spot on.

yup. That's the result of a bad attempt at fore shortening of the back legs, I was hoping no one would notice

It's beautiful. But sad. The horse, which resembles a lot of a horse I once loved that died and another horse I once rode but am likely to never meet again, seems distant, like he's going to dive into the ocean and be gone. Forever. Tears almost rise in my eyes. Thank you

haha WELL I love that you don't always go crazy on the detail. It's that sort of awesome speed paint style mixed with Corel that just brings your images to life I'm totally in love with all that reflective light around the equine!

Thank you!
Maybe when it comes to speed paints that's the positive side to being incredibly lazy , I always feel that I should refine my pictures more, but I just rarely get up the motivation to do it

Ooo lovely. I need to practice some speed painting. I spend too much time on detail. It's amazing how beautiful simplicity can be.

You know,...every time I look at one of your speed paintings---speedy or not, I am in awe of how lovely the simplicity is. I try to relax a bit on detail, but just cannot get it to work! I guess I simply can't let go of my attention to detail.

I admire you for that ability.

I call it laziness with me! I'm a bugger for ignoring details on proper pictures, but it certainly does help with quicker ones.

For me, I just must have it ingrained in my head that if you have a digital program, that I must use it to the fullest of my ability. I'll bet that if I tried to relax doing it traditional, I may have better luck.
