I love your colorizations. You've turned all those pictures into real works of art! Any visit on your profiles and websites is a real pleasure for eyes and soul.
Currently I'm trying to colorize some selfies of my deceased friend (yeah, I know, it's totally different category of photos, but, eh... I love her and I miss her very much...). Effects are quite promising, but it seems to me that I'm very far from quality and naturality such as yours. Is there any tutorial on how to achieve effects of similar quality or your technique of colorization is top secret and not-to-be-revealed-to-anyone?

Hello, I love your work! I was thinking maybe you'd like to color one of my vintage stock photos? You don't have to if you don't want to...

I love your work! Your colorized photos look awesome, very realistic! I colorize too, but when I look at your pics, I'm like 'nah, I should stop, her works are too good and I'll never be able to be as good as her!' anyway, I especially love how you colorize the skin, it looks too realistic for words! Great job, you have a fan in me

I've just joined DA and uploaded my first image, though my motive for registering was so I could contact you re the possibility of licensing one of your images for a book cover. I'm retired, but am hobby self-publishing. I design my own covers, though I'm more and more using other artists' background images (so far all creative commons or public domain). Two of my titles are completely my own designs using DAZ Studio, but my PC doesn't have enough RAM to render complex scenes and I can't afford an upgrade just now. I have a sci fi quest trilogy out and have recently updated the covers of Volumes 1 & 2, but now I need the Volume 3 cover (the current one is my own design) to match them in quality, and one of your images is just perfect for it. How or where is it best to communicate on this subject?
PS: I'm stunned by the quality of your colourised images, particularly the New York one (I forget the title), though it's not one of those the above is about.

Hey there, I found one of your images and altered it into a sort of geometric abstract type thing. Is it ok if I put it up on my deviantart page if I keep the watermark and give you credit for the photo in the description?

How do you make your colorings so realistic? Maybe you could make a tutorial sometime. You don't have to if you don't want to...

I'd like to see such tutorial, too... I'm trying hard to colorize some selfies of my deceased friend, I've achieved some interesting results, but I'd like to get the quality and naturality similar to this of mygrapefruit's colorizations.

Which photo? There is the one with the woman is Dorothy Counts-Scoggins, one of the first black students to attend an all white school (Harding High) in Charlotte, NC in 1956

I wish to colorize an old photo of my grandfather so I've been researching colorization of B&W's and found a lot of sources. However, your work stands unmatched. Awesome! One could only hope for a tut

Hello,
I must say that the work you have done on converting B/W to colour is nothing short of brilliant. I am a research student in history and the work you have done in converting famous photographs interests me. I would like to know more about how you perceive these images in colour or rather how you choose to use the colours.
P.S. Loved the colour version of the "Migrant Mother"

I just discover your work today regarding the colorisation of old pictures.
Great, I love it.
I thought it was some kind of computer job.
but luckily I found your watermarks in the corner of the images.
thank you.
