This photograph is Perhaps it makes such an impact because it differs so greatly from your previous works. Even the title "Lust" is far from the innocence you've set out to capture. Though I could be compleatly wrong, it is entirely possible that this is her first encounter with such hormone driven passion. Or the river who carresses her body desires her submerged in it's green blue waters. Either way it appears to lean toward the realist side of magical relisim. Your model could be a woman of some nomadic tribe that national geographic is writing an article on. Or this could simply be a more "grown up" fairytale than you have told before.

I have not reviewed your previous art work. Β I'll admit she is extremely beautiful, and quite alluring, but what I love about the picture is I find the obvious; lighting, colouring, general quality, and the integration with nature - something that's suppose to be. Β However, what I find extremely attractive, is not how you portrayed nudity as a natural part of life, but how she's reflecting, being reflected, and or how she portrays herself in the reflection. Β To me, I have this sense of shame, or taboo, as the way things are "meant to be", comparing them to what they actually are - comparing the unnatural world to the natural world. Β In agreement with singalspells, regarding the lack of innocence; to me, though, I consider the loss of innocents as a result of modern culture, and society, not self awareness.

(Upon viewing this image and the title of the photo that was what came to mind. for anyone who has ever seen the movie "Oh brother where art thou" this line would totally make sense!!)
very pretty picture. Personally i think if the background was a little less fuzzy it would give it a more dynamic feel. But the lighting is pleasant and the focus is eye catching. and that reflection is SO COOL! 8DD well done. :3

I'm sorry, the picture is good and the lighting is well done but why 'Lust'? I'm not certain I understand. I would have guessed 'contemplation' or 'vanity'. Is there a particular part of the piece I'm missing?
