Almighty God, have mercy upon me, a humble knight in Thy Divine Service… for I shall march through fire and kill all the people in that town and all their cattle too, cutting them down completely. It must be left in ruins for ever and never again be rebuilt… and oh LORD, I am not so sure.

Eternal Father, I pray for Thy indulgence and blessings. Forget not Thine servant in his trials, nor his Order of Knighthood… for I shall set fire to the city and burn it to the ground, along with everything in it, except the things made of gold, silver, bronze and iron, which we shall take and put in the LORD's treasury… and oh GOD, I am not so sure.

Lord of Lords, let me always be worthy of Thee, let me not forget Thee in good times nor bad… for I shall spare no one; have mercy on no one. I shall kill the old men, young men, young women, mothers, and children. Defile the Temple and fill its courtyards with corpses. Dash babies to the ground, rape their wives and rip open pregnant women… and oh LORD, I am not that sure.

Everlasting God, armor me with the armor of Thy Righteousness, give me the sword of Truth that I shall confound Thine enemies and be unto Thee a true knight… for I shall condemn them to destruction and I shall secure that their corpses will not be buried, but will lie there rotting and stinking; and the mountains will be red in blood, with their bodies lying scattered from one end of the earth to the other… and oh LORD you know, I am not that sure.
