Oh man, when is the last time I bought a Gundam figure?! I think it's been over 2 years if I've calculated correctly!

Well for those of you who weren't around in 2013, I started collecting more of the SD Gundam toys (not the model kits) from the SD Gundam Force anime line which seems to have branched off into "SD Gundam Online/Archive", an Asia exclusive line which is reusing and retooling a lot of the toys from the SDGF US line. They are only selling the ones that are directly inspired by the original mobile suits and not the SDGF anime show though the characters in that show were designed after many famous mobile suits.

This one is the titular Wing Gundam from "Gundam Wing" which is what "Zero the Winged Knight" was inspired by. It comes with the buster rifle, two beam sabers, and a shield. The beam sabers are so warped from the packaging they look like the letter S but I guess Wing's sabers are supposed to look curved but thankfully they are the exact same ones that came with the Wing Gundam Zero so I just take the sabers from that set and use them with this but he's going to be posed with his rifle mostly anyhow.

Like the Wing Gundam Zero, it can be transformed into it's "bird mode" which looks really cool though very short and stubby when compared to the non-SD version. It's shield is a bit warped which causes the nose to be off-centered though it's hard to notice from most angles.

It's wings can also open and close and the wing pack can be removed. I think there's a button that allows the wings to flip open but it doesn't seem to work on mine.

The original SDGF US version had light up eyes and chest orb but this one lacks them as is the norm in the Asia versions of these toys. The details on the camera eyes make up for it though.

Besides the warped plastic, the only other complaint I have is some poseability issues with the elbows since the "tallons" of the bird mode get in the way but they can be folded forward to allow the arms to get a full 90 degree bend. The head is also a bit tough to turn but it's not fully impossible to.

Overall, it's better looking than the SD Wing Gundam Zero I got a while ago and has an awesome bird mode. I am currently waiting to get the Zeong in the mail which was NOT released in the US so it's a new one! Can't wait and I hope they make more of the enemy mobile suits in this line!
