Once I heard about a singer doing that....he kept saying to one particular section of the crowd "stand up!, Stand up! Come on!" and when he finally ordered that the house lights be turned up on them............the were all in wheelchairs......

Haha, this reminds me of something I witnessed at a Ludo concert...
The lead singer was telling everyone to clap (and maybe jump or dance...I don't remember), and there was a whole group of guys (all friends) with the most serious looks on their faces, not doing anything. So the lead singer called them out and jokingly said he was going to kill them if they didn't start participating. The guys didn't respond, so the lead singer said he'd meet them in the parking lot.
