Excellent technique. That said, the explosion doesn't convey which type of explosion it is. Possibly a small mound of gunpowder? It's not aggressive enough to be an a gasoline explosion, and doesn't have the feel of being confined to a grenade that then spits fragments after the container gives way.
It could make a good effect for a flash grenade, but would need to be faster and have a less sooty smoke.
You're on track to having an impact-full effect but it needs a bit more punch. You are very skillful and know where to make the changes, if you so choose.

I like to, put it in flash, and then layer to layer see how it is build up,
it is very well animated.
