Happy Birthday, ~sultry-poptarts !!!
Since I didn't come up with the picture for your last one...yet...I decided to make things proper this time. (WHY am I so rubbish with birthdays?? And requests. And whatever involves time frames. I need me a time lord!)

Anyway.

Pop said she liked the earrings I made...so it gave me an idea for a gift for her (and I'm even not late this time! Yey me!)
These are a representation of a drawing of hers (which is also her icon) -
The little green fella is her character Dilton, and I still haven't figured out what kind of animal is he...

Made of polymer clay, the squares measure about 2,5 cm. Their corners are rounded for comfortable wear. For the design, I used a technique similar to paper application: baked each element separately and glued them onto the plate.

Everything is completely handmade, and I'll tell you even more. See those translucent flakes? They are pieces of nail art mica. Well, apparently, they don't just stick to the wet varnish as I expected them to. When I checked on the earrings this morning, they went "meh" and fell off!! But I really wanted them to be there, they're beautiful. So I hand-cut them into smaller pieces and hand-superglued where needed. I. Am. Tired. xD But it was totally worth it.

Finally, I'm even happy with the photos - you can see the iridescent effect quite well! Actually, they shine gold, green, and purple depending on the angle. I'm definitely using this mica mosaic again in my other projects, it looks fantastic.

But enough self-promo, today is Laekyn's day! Happy birthday again, dear! Have an awesome one! And well, I hope you like these.
