I doodled this when I was in the middle of dying of Sinusitis last week and I actually don't remember drawing it so OOF
But anyway, a comparison of anthro!Arpeggio, Forte, and Survived!AU anthro!Arpeggio in order to see what traits of the two Arpeggios I applied when designing Forte.
Forte's blind eye was actually based on my headcanon that Arpeggio's monocle-eye has poor vision, so in my ooold 2017 rozenich!Arpeggio doodle (which is somewhere in the depth of Tumblr probably) I just got rid of his eye entirely. For Forte, though, I just took the blind eye from post-YaPlanFailed Arpeggio. Forte's color scheme is also just slightly lighter and less saturated.
My favorite comparison is Forte's butt feathers being the same shape as Arpeggio's tail! I love that shape. It pleases me.

Sobs, I ADORE all these different Arpeggio concepts you've got going on. Seeing anthro!Arpeggio and AU!Arpeggio side by side shows just how fun-- and exploratory-- AUs can be, and from a quick pre-read I like how you handle him in Labyrinth. It's a pity when a character doesn't quiet meet their full potential, in the original work. That's where we come in. A toast! To good characters and the nerds who love them. 🥂

Ya know, I didn't even really put it together they shared similar designs. I mean, I am kind of slow, or maybe like, it's a success on your part for differentiating them. Anyway, it's super interesting to see how certain design aspects transformed in the transition to another character, cool stuff.

I am happy with that aha! I don't mind if people see them as the same, nor if they see them as different. TBH they are considerably different in a lot of ways and Forte easily behaves as his own character altogether.
