I think he was fired, or "put on administrative leave". TBH, I think he deserves worse, but the real criminal isn't the numbskull with the pepperspray, it's the people telling the cops to be rough with what for all intents and purposes are peaceful, constitutionally protected protesters.
They should have fired the people in charge, every last one of them.
