As good from the back as in the front. Dynamic from all angles!

Yeah, I'm all about the angles now more than ever.

It's why I put all of my figurines on my tripod with a rotating base. It's a great way of finding all the defects by using that constant rotation.

Yeah I need to pick up a lazy susan some time.

Nice thing about my set up is that it lets me tilt, raise and lower, and rotate from a sitting position. Helps keep my back straight.
Talked to a really talented lady that I admire [Foo Swee Chin], and she's going to help me with the design of my own little spider girl. In return, I'll be doing a favorite character for her. More in line with the Lenore I did. Trying to get away from doing buxom hourglass females for a while, and go with some more extreme designs.
Considering doing a figurine of Courtney Grumrin for Ted Naifeh down the line. Gotta finish the molds and copies on these last two girls though. Soooo Busy!

I've got a couple of jpg's named Workspace and Beatrix Rough 1 at the bottom of my scraps that show the tripod if you're interested. Although you can make one out of wood quite easily.
A bolt sticks out of the bottom of the circular bases I do the sculpts on. It goes through one of three holes in the metal base that it's resting on. An ordinary wing nut is screwed onto that bolt from underneath. This allows me to tilt the whole base without the sculpt falling loose.
Of course this is the third version I built out of aluminum, but like I said, a particle board base on a really good tripod will work fine.

The back came out very nice! Even the vein work, I didn't try to do that with mine. How big is it, 7 inches?

Thanks man, it comes in at just under 10 inches w/base.
