Description A little bit inspired by Blind Meg from Repo: The Genetic Opera. I pulled this manipulation out of my stream of consciousness in regards to the thought of being blind. Perhaps not literally, but I wonder sometimes if that I am so blinded by different aspects of my life that I am potentially missing out on something incredible. It's a strange fear and a rather unproductive thought, I suppose; the more I think about it, the more I realize that maybe we are all in the position in our lives, everything is a matter of perspective, as it is often said. I guess that is all the best we can do. Although, those moments of relevation and clarity are certainly something worth striving for; I find that those moments don't always come as often as I would like them to.

Well, the brain filters out many, many things so that you can function more efficiently (e.g. attention and dichotic listening). So, in all reality, we miss dozens, or even thousands of things every day, but that doesn't mean that what we attend to don't carry equal importance. The world is full of wonder and the spontaneity will burst forth sooner or later.

Yeah we do filter out a lot of information in our daily lives to function more efficiently. Part of that is judgmental thinking. I believe that a lot of the reactionary responses and more primal examination is done in the lower part of the brain, around the brain stem area, if I am not mistaken? My understanding of this subject is a few years old now and a little foggy, but I believe that's the reptilian portion of our cognitive process.

This ability to be self aware is strange though and I find it intriguing that we are compelled to master and understand ourselves and the world around us instead of simply existing as a cog in the biological machine. Although, we still remain a part of the machine in some respects.

And the little glass vial, goes into the gun like a battery.

And when the gun goes off it sparks and you're ready for surgery, surgery.
