Description
Been a while since I've posted one of these, but this girl has been bouncing around in my head for months. This is Solanum, the illegitimate child of Princess Luna and King Sombra, as well as Canterlot's best-kept secret. She is sickly.. consumed by dark magic since birth, a poison which will one day claim her life. After Luna's banishment to the moon, and Sombra's defeat, Celestia thought it best to keep the filly safe in Canterlot castle so as not to alarm her citizens. As such, Sol isn't recognized as royalty the same way her younger half-brother Maelstrom is - while the son of Discord has received some semblance of acceptance among the masses after Discord's reformation, Solanum's status and heritage is not recognized, and the mare herself is known by few ponies outside Canterlot palace.

Honestly, i'm still working on her details, but I had so much fun with her design that I just had to post. I really enjoy drawing characters with a more defined skeletal structure.
