Description Drew the lineart for this one waiting in the terminal to fly home from school. Not sure why I chose two versions of Ed to convey my thoughts at the the time, but EH. -shrug-

Summer gets harder the longer I'm away, it seems. Ah, well. People addiction: The first step is realizing you have a wonderful problem.

loves me some dragonesques

Very believable cloudiness on the top one. Difficult to do but always nice when it's done well

Thank ya, dude! I was a little worried the texture would flatten it out, but... >< As long as it's believable~

Why have you made more creatures in this drawing than I have all summer? Because I fail.

Lol but these rock. Love Lack-of-face there. Cool guy.

'cause you're working lots and making moneys for coldstone next year! Whereas I'm poking at T-shirts and hoping I have enough to buy oils. But if you have free time, I miss your oddly-angled creaturesss.

And thanks, dude.

Two versions of Ed? Is this from something?

Nah, Ed (Enheldorf) is a critter I made a long time ago. He's made several changes since then, but I've kept the name. He's a strange one.

Ooh, I love this composition. You always do so well with color combinations and all that kind of stuff! I really like the texture of both of the Ed's skins (that sounded silly).

Hahaha, it does sound a little strange. I guess I should drawn two different ones next time, hey? But thanks, I had fun with the texture and composition. Though I was practically drawing in my notebook bindings for some places. XD

Nahhh, I think it's neat cause it's sorta conceptual and makes the viewer think. You're welcome!

every time i see your work i get reminded how much i need to start making "actual illustrations". anyways.. wow. that's just really freaking cool. love the wrinkles on the skin/fins. also, chromatic grays are AWESOME. you're getting a huge variety in tone, yet it's subtle- props. textures are also nice.. i'm still getting acquainted with them.

Eh, "actual illustrations". These definitely aren't, really. It's more typical during learning to just do partial things just to get some practice/lesson out of it, but I just can't operate that way so well. So it's fine that you're not doing actual illustrations yet! You've got three years for that, after all.

But glad you like the tones'n textures. Angie gave me a quick run-down on how to use them (and I've gotten to watch her texture the heck out of everything), but experimentation is useful too.
