Honestly, I've known about the game, but I've never heard about the show, so I can make you sure that the similarity between them is just accidental
Besides, I drew her Pony-alter following the instructions of SonicDash777 (and according the style of Lauren Faust, the creator of MLP), so I imagined her like this

Probably this one was never dubbed in my home country, neither was aired on CN that I could watch via satellite in the mid '90's, when I was a kid (that helped me alot to learn English that time
