Description
While explaining to a friend why I found Prince Zuko's character so interesting, I pointed out how he's a guy starting out at a disadvantage -- nothing comes easily to him, so he's had to struggle for every achievement of his life. He's a powerful firebender not because of natural talent, but because he trained his ass off.As soon as the words were out of my mouth, I remembered a similar conversation I'd had with someone else about Rock Lee, and why they thought he was Totally Awesome.
Clearly, the parallel was irresistible ;}

I dunno, Zuko reminds me more of Sasuke than Lee. xD Doing everything in their power during their childhood to impress their fathers, having a nutcase for an older sibling, being all angsty all the time...xD

I think Rock Lee has it much worse off, since he can't use chakra, like EVERY OTHER NINJA. It would be like if Zuko couldn't bend fire at all, and had to depend on martial arts.

True....but Rock Lee wasn't mutilated by his own father and then banished from the kingdom and stripped of his right to the throne. Also, his sister isn't trying to kill him (that I know of...?)
