I have a sun conure too. He loves to do this, among other crazy stunts. But I'm rather new to having a bird this large. Do you have any advise?

Well, they are very loud, there is no getting around that. Make sure you cover their cage at night with a towel or blanket and to take it off as soon as you get up. They need a lot of attention, I would suggest getting a portable perch so you can hang out with him/her. Other than that, they are sweet and loving if you spend a lot of time with them.

Yeah, I already knew that. He likes to squawk but we don't mind. Actually, we kind of like it. xD
Why the towel or blanket? I think that would freak him out...
We're looking into getting one of those. For now, we just roll the cage to whatever room we're going to be in.

Just helps create a better sleeping habit. Sun Conures need 10-12 hours of sleep a day, or they can become grouchy, irritable, and can even get sick. Also, they love "tents" so i doubt it would freak him out. My sunny has a fuzzy bed he LOVES. Yours will probably love it too.

as you know, this is a wonderful shots, one of your best. i love the color and the crop. only thing if possible that i would want to change is the white behind the green leaves. sometimes you can't change it because the type of day it is but it would make the shot stronger if there was blue sky i think.

lol i thought ur that tropical photo was an orange until i looked longer and realized it was a conure sun parrot. i also like it and how its beak open is shown and not the rest of its face except in full view. i still like the full view one though. i miss my conure sun so much so sad to see him.her die in front of me
