Eyyyoo doing a full on animation for this part might've not been the best idea because that way it just slows down the whole thing even more.
But it's pretty cool to have Ace talking like that.

It just took too long and murdered too many of my nerves But here it is. Hope you like it!

_____________________
Isn't it said that you see a bright white light when you die? A white light that takes away all your pain and worries and guides the way to a place that people refer to as heaven. It's not like Yuliya believed in that. But now that she saw such a bright white light in front of her inner eyes, surrounding her with its warming glow she wondered if all the tales about heaven were really true.
-was she dead?
But before she could waste any further thoughts to heaven and afterlife, a loud sound cut through, washing the white light away in a blink and leaving a painful ringing in her ears. Sudden darkness came crashing over her.
"How did you get her here?"
"Car." She remembered this voice. She had heard it before.
"In the trunk or what?"
"No. She sat in her seat like normal people do, you dummy."
She? Did the voice refer to her? She desperately wanted to join the conversation but she was unable to move. With every breath she took an extreme pain shot through her lungs, leaving her paralyzed for a moment before her lungs got filled with air again and the whole cycle got repeated. Something was wrong with her body. She knew it. In all those years she had experienced a lot of injures before and she for a fact knew what a punctured lung felt like.
"And they didn't suspect a thing? I can't believe that those police men are that dumb."
"To their defence: I did a really good job in covering up all the blood, she really just looked like she was sleeping and they were really polite for not wanting to wake her up."

She heard a chuckle.

However, suddenly that chuckle turned into a groan and it took her a while to figure out that she was the one groaning. Her paralysation vanished and she opened her eyes only to be blinded by a bright white light again. She turned her head away, moaning, until she realized that the bright light had indeed been a lamp that was placed next to where she was laying. She blinked a few times and let her gaze wander through the room she was in. It was big and fancy, shaped like on of those old foyers in castles.

"She's awake!" Someone exclaimed and she just rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"It would be better for you if I weren’t", she grunted and brought a hand up to her rib cage. As her fingers got in contact with a rather raw surface she sighed and sat up, ignoring the pain that shot through her body.
It was then that she felt all the people in the room looking at her, anxiously awaiting her reaction. She took a deep breath.

"Where am I?" A figure separated itself from the black mass that actually was a group of people. He gave the others a sign to leave the room and then came closer.
"Switzerland. " That voice. She suddenly recognized it. It was his voice. She flinched, reaching for her belt, which housed her gun. But the only thing her hand found was the seam of her jeans. Obviously it was gone. No one would just leave her gun there. Surely not after seeing what she was able to do with it. The guy came closer and she inhaled a sharp breath. "Stay away from me."

He sat down. "Don’t worry. If I wanted to kill you I wouldn’t have bothered to bring you here. Way too much work." He paused. "Not to mention that you ruined my poor car by puking up blood all over my backseat. I have to admit that I really toyed with the notion of kill you for that."
That explained the metallic taste in the back of her throat at least. She narrowed her brows.
"Why didn’t you? I would have. "
"Because it’s different for me." Silence remained for moment.
"Different or not, that doesn’t matter. If I won’t kill you, someone else will. They know where to find me- so they also know where to find you. "
Ace smirked at her statement. "Says who?"
"My tracker. I have a tracker implemented in-" She had lifted her hand and stroke over her left upper arm when her fingers came across the same raw fabric as before. "-my arm." First only her pupils shrank and the corner of her eye twitched once, twice but then her whole expression changed and she ripped off the band-aid to reveal a clean cut on her upper arm. She stared at the wound in disbelief before she brought her eyes up to Ace who still wore the same victorious smirk.
"What did you do?", she hissed.
Ace laughed. "Now that I think about it, I actually did kill you. Yeah, you died in Russia when trying to fulfill your mission. We fought and you came out on the short end."
Her eye twitched again. "You removed and destroyed my tracker, so they would think I’m dead?"
He nodded. "Exactly."

"I just have one question: Why? Why would you do that?"
His laughter lapsed into silence and he sighed. Then he leaned closer to her. She tried to back off but was met with the armrest of the couch so she had to stay still whilst he stared into her eyes.
"Because I gave a promise to someone a long time ago." She grimaced. "And why would that involve kidnapping me?"
There it was again. His laughter. "It’s sad that you see it as kidnapping and not as me freeing you from this ominous business, Yuliya. Because that’s what I promised to do."
And with those words he gracefully got to his feet and walked away from the couch.
She quickly turned around to see where he was going, pretty indignant about the fact that he left her there without even giving her the chance to react to what he had said. Her body however protested and she was again greeted with yet another wave of pain and nausea.

"How do you know my name?", was the only thing she brought out under her heavy breathing.
Ace stopped at the table and poured himself a glass of water, without even hinting to answer her question. This made her become even angrier.
"Hey! I’m talking to you!"
He put down the water bottle and turned around to face her. "I know the person who gave you that name. Happy now?"

She shook her head. "No! Why would you know the person who named me? That’s- impossible."
Ace took a sip from his glass, remaining silent. He could tell that Yuliya got impatient but it didn’t persuade him to answer faster. Quite on the contrary. He drank the liquid gulp by gulp and only when he finished his drink, he walked back to her.

"I know the person who named you because-", He took a deep breath, "She named me too."
When he finally was within her reach, Yuliya shot up and put a grip around his neck.
"Don’t assume that I need a gun to kill you", she snarled, "So don’t try to manipulate me and don’t you even dare lying to me."
Ace didn’t show any fear. Instead, he smiled. "Your mission is over, there’s no point in killing me anymore."

"My mission is not over until I have what they want. I am faithful to my agency and the orders they give me."
"Faithful to an agency that almost wanted you to kill your own brother in order to prove them this very certain loyalty?"
Her facial features hardened. The expression in her eyes lacked any warmth or affection. It was cold. She stiffened in her movement like someone just hit the pause-button of the video that funnily enough was her real life right now. Ace took the opportunity, slid his hand under hers and softly removed it from his neck without moving his gaze. Yuliya didn’t protest. Only slowly, she busted out of her rigidity. She really felt like she was in a video. Or a movie. In a very wrong and bad movie though.

And as it was a bad movie, she began to laugh. It was not a very noisy, hygienic laugh, no; it was rather a deep, quiet chuckle.

"You idiot. I don’t have brother. "

Ace snarled. "Then tell me: What would be my reward if I was lying to you? Especially if it’s such a stupid lie."

"You tell me."

"I would stir up your hate by lying to you. And then, after a long enough time, you would lose your head and kill me. Isn’t it like that? Hmm? There is only one problem. I do not see any, I repeat, ANY advantage for me in that situation", Ace answered with the same cold undertone as she had.
"Well, then what did you originally hope for when telling me that you’re my brother?", Yuliya asked with furrowed brows.

"That you are a bit more like your real mother and don’t simply deny it as a lie. "

Yuliya strained her jaw and clenched her teeth. She already had a spiteful answer ready on the tip of her tongue but in the end decided to swallow it.

"Would you care to enlighten me then?”, she spoke through gritted teeth. The bitter taste of blood was rising in her throat and she again swallowed heavily to keep it down.

"Only after you promise not to yell at me. I don’t like being yelled at."
"How about I get violent instead? Do you like that better? "
"Promise it."
"Not to get physically violent or not to get verbally violent? "
"Promise it."
"I promise not to get violent…" A smirk crept to Yuliyas lips "…while you’re narrating this fable that is."
Ace sighed. "That will do."

Yuliya nodded as her smirk grew wider and she sat back against the couch. She folded her hands behind her head, ignoring the throbbing pain in her left side and instead giving Ace an asking look.

Ace took a deep breath. Then he started with a simple statement that he thought would at least scratch on Yuliyas cold façade and make her a bit more welcoming for the story he was about to tell her. "You’re adopted."

However, nothing of Yuliyas expression changed. "I know. "

It caught Ace off guard. He had to clear his throat multiple times before he was able to continue. "So you might have asked yourself who your real parents are already. The answer is quite simple. We share the same parents. However, when you were born, our parents were in a really bad place and our mother had to give you away. You came to another family."
Again, Yuliya nodded. He could see her lips move as if she was about to say something, but the sound of her voice stayed away.
"Listen, I don’t want to construct a theory about your agency-"
"Then don't." There it was. The sound of her voice. It wasn’t nearly as soft as he hoped it would be by now though. It was still harsh and cold and had a fizzing tone to it.
"You have to admit it’s a bit of a weird coincidence that they sent you on that mission to confront me, isn’t it?"
"As I said, if I don’t finish this job, someone else will."
-did she just use the present tense? Ace didn’t know if it was anger or sadness that suddenly rushed over him and made his voice grow louder and more powerful with each word he said. "Your agency knew about this! They knew everything. They knew about me being part of the gang that killed your fellow colleagues. I don’t know how exactly they found me because I’ve become pretty good at hiding but somehow they did. Probably when I entered Russia. And then of course when I showed up where all of that shit went down."

"Palacio", she cut in, "Ring a bell?"
Ace bit his teeth upon hearing that name. He once had been a member of the same gang as Ace had been. Ace knew him. And he had never liked him. He had always thought he was an untrustworthy bastard.
"Motherf'ucker", Ace cursed under his breath. "He gave you all the names am I right? The whole entire fucking list."
Yuliya didn’t show any reaction other than continuing to stare into Ace’ eyes which was an answer itself. "He was there. With you. Did-", Ace stopped, his face heating up with anger and frustration, "Did he recognize me?"

"He wasn’t sure. But I went for it anyway. Your reaction to your name was enough evidence for me to be certain it was you."
There was a moment of silence between them before Ace spoke up again.
"My name", he swallowed heavily, his muscles shivering, "Pretty sure my name is written in your CIA file. Listed under family members. They know everything about you, Yuliya. They wanted you to go onto this mission. I mean someone had to do the job anyway. So why not the biological sister of on of the targets, right? What a pleasure it will be to see her torture her own brother without even knowing it."
He shook his head as something resembling a hysterical laughter escaped his throat.
"They wouldn’t-"
"They absolutely would! You seem to have a pretty high rank- probably due to your strength and harshness. So they did what was best for them, turn you into someone they could control, erasing everything that could turn out to be a crack in that controlling system."
Yet again she didn’t answer. Instead she cleared her throat and clenched her fists, muscles popping up. "No one can control me", she eventually snarled.
"My choice of words was probably a bit off but you get the general idea of what I want to get across. "
Indeed. She did. And she made that clear by rolling her eyes and furrowing her eyebrows. Ace continued: "I once had promised to find you and to keep you save. And doing so unfortunately included getting my hands dirty because, well, your beloved agency wasn’t the only one that knew about our relation."

By now, Ace’ breathing and heart rate were surely accelerated. In fact, his heart was beating with such an intension and strength that he had the feeling it would break his rip case at any time now.
Yuliya on the other hand was still as controlled and cold as ever. But something about her expression had changed in the mean time. Ace couldn’t tell exactly what it was but there was definitely something different about her facial features.
"Why would you care that much about me anyway? ", she asked after some time. Now Ace noticed what had changed. Her facial features had softened a bit, not much, but enough for him to notice.
"Because after all, you’re still my sister. And I don’t break my promises."

"Congrats. You found me." The corner of her mouth twitched upwards and for a second there was something resembling a smile laying on her lips. Then it disappeared again. It was enough to elicit Ace's soft laughter.
"Finally," he said softly, his eyes fixed on his sister.

Yuliya had to swallow again violently to keep the blood down.
"And what do you want to do now, have you ever gotten this far with your plan?" She raised her eyebrow.
"No," Ace replied honestly. "I have never come this far."
Yuliya rolled her eyes.
"But until I think about a solution that fits both of us, you'll stay here," he continued.
"And what if I reject this transitional solution?"
"Why would you do that?"
"Because I do not trust you."
"But you still have trust in your agency?"
"No."
"Then tell me what else you want to do, I just know I will not let you go when you're hurt."
"The wounds will heal."
"I didn’t mean your outer wounds."
Yuliya looked at him, an unpleasant cold in her eyes. "It takes more than something like that for me to break down."
She bit her teeth together. Ace sighed. He was aware that Yuliya had been trained to push emotions away. Emotions affect the ability to think and act, and this could have devastating consequences for an agent. That's why she had been trained not to allow feelings, not to let anything or anyone get too close to her. She had to be ready to kill anyone, whether she liked him or not.
And that scared Ace. He did not know how much Yuliya had already internalized this thinking.

"Yuliya ... it's okay if you break down, you do not have to prove anything to me. "
"Of course not. But if you expect me to fall around your neck and cry, it’s not going to happen. This is not something I do."
"Embrace someone or cry?"
"Both."
"Is this the agency speaking out of you or are these really your own feelings?"
She understood what he meant. She obviously was also aware of how the agency had manipulated her so she would lean against her will. She had been used for many years, infiltrated by thoughts that weren't her own. Something sprouted in her. Hate. Anger. Feelings she could not allow.

She noticed how Ace stretched out his arm, presumably to place his hand on her shoulder and she backed away.
"Don’t", she said.
He lowered his arm. "You didn’t answer my question about what you intend to do now. "
Yuliya remained silent.
"Yuliya?"
Silence.
"My offer still applies."
She sighed. "Okay."
"But if you try any tricks-" This made Ace chuckle. "Me and tricks? I’m more scared of your tricks", he said.
Yuliya smiled as well. It still wasn’t a genuine smile but this time she at least smiled so long and wide that Ace could see her teeth for a moment.
"Then don’t give me a reason to use any."

tl;dr + brief explanation

Carreen has actually not always named Carreen. She got assigned the name Yuliya at birth from her real mother. Her name got changed when she got adopted so only very few people now about her real name. Nominally her mother and her... brother.
Aka Ace.

She named me too = Their mother named them both

YES
They're siblings

Their parents were in a very bad place when their mum was pregnant with Yuliya so she had to give her away without anyone knowing. Things went a bit better with Ace so their parents kept him. Their mother had a hard time dealing with the loss of her daughter and wrote letters to her that she'd never send but instead hide in a box
And Ace found that box.

Alas he knows about Yuliya but she doesn't know about him.

He took her home after their encounter in Russia and she obviously wasn't happy about it. Eventually she came to find the whole situation and mission a bit odd as well (since it was exactly her that had to go on this mission that involved her brother) and believed Ace for now, agreeing to stay at the stable for the time being.

But... did her agency really know about their relation? We'll find out in the next episode of 'Ace Out' that will come out in a year apparently because I'm so slow omg.

I just want this storyline to be over DX It has so many logical mistakes in it because it's so old and I had a hard time trying to fix it. PLEASE IGNORE THAT.

Eyy, there's the explanation. Will be interesting to see how things play out between them once she has time to process things a bit. Plus that's a real nice animation, quite natural facial movements.
