Description Moses and Aaron, with a heart so light,
Went to Pharaoh, to make things right,
"Let my people go," they bravely said,
"Free them from bondage, so they may be led."
But Pharaoh's heart was hard as stone,
He scoffed at their request, with an arrogant tone,
"No, I will not," he cruelly replied,
"I will increase their burden, their labor intensified."
The Israelites toiled day and night,
Their bodies weary, their spirits tight,
Bricks to make, and straw to find,
Their patience tested, their hope confined.
Moses cried out to God above,
"Why, O Lord, this suffering, this unjust shove?
I followed Your command, with faith so strong,
Yet Pharaoh's cruelty lasts so long."
God's voice, comforting, calm and clear,
"Be patient, Moses, have no fear,
For I will show my mighty hand,
And lead you to a promised land."
With plagues and wonders, God prevailed,
Pharaoh's resistance finally derailed,
He let the Israelites go free,
A testament to God's victory.
Exodus Chapter 5, a test of faith,
A lesson learned, though hardships may be wraith,
With God's guidance, they found their way,
To freedom's shores, a brand new day.
