Nicky Parlouzer is an anxious young boy with low self-esteem and surprising guitar skills; in fact, the only time he ever seems to truly be at peace is when he plays. All Nicky wants is to confess his feelings to his classmate Mighty, but local bully Fang makes things difficult. That’s when Nicky’s talking pet chao Cheese transforms into Omochao and reveals the truth: that Nicky is actually the newest in a long line of legendary heroes from Planet Gitaroo, and owner of the Last Gitaroo! When Nicky wields the Last Gitaroo, he transforms into Sonic the Gitaroo-hog! Now, Nicky must use his Gitaroo skills to save Planet Gitaroo, which has been conquered by the wicked Infinite and his Phantom Empire. Can Nicky save Planet Gitaroo and learn to believe in himself? And who is this mysterious black hedgehog that seems to fancy him?

I would love to play a Sonic the Hedgehog rhythm game, something that involves Sonic running around hitting bad guys with a guitar. It may sound incredibly gimmick-y but honestly? Sonic games having gimmicks isn't inherently a bad thing, especially when Mario does it all the time. What matters is how well the game is made, how well everything comes together. A Sonic-based rhythm game with a good story, good gameplay, and a kickass soundtrack from Crush 40, Tomoya Ohtani, and other musicians who've worked on the series would be fucking amazing.

Old doodle that I just fixed up and made all nice n purty. It's a Gitaroo Man AU but with Sonic characters, starting with Sonic/Nicky as U-1 AKA Gitarooman and both Cheese and Omochao as Puma. I simplified a lot of the details on the costumes b/c trying to capture every single tiny detail would've driven me insane. I'm surprised I don't have carpal tunnel.
