Description
Here's my entry to =cookiekitty-stock 's Tempt Me contest. Hopefully it fits the theme. When I read in the description the word "lure", a mermaid was what came to mind (what can I say, my brain is always in a fantasy world or something
). So I don't actually show a sailor being lured by this mermaid, but you can see the shipwreck of a previous successful luring.Credits:

I really love this... only thing is... and I hope you do't mind suggestions... I can still slightly see where her knee was. There is a small shadow there that makes the line visible. I would just smooth it out a little bit. It also has a piecemeal feel to it. I have trouble with this myself... I think a texture of sorts might bring the whole thing together a bit so some parts don't look like they are lying on top of the rest.

I kind of cheat hehe... If I see that something stands out like its not blended into the overall image... I move into Paint Shop Pro and use one of their filters. Usually a Softening filter or in Photoshop I use the blue tool and blur the edges so things blend better. As far as textures are concerned.. I don't myself have a lot of experience. Using a partially transparent texture over the entire image can also help things blend together better. You don't want something that is too detailed... it might distract from the image... I'd play around with it a little bit and have fun
