Description A Photo I've been working on for the past 6 months from now and then, shot on Faroe Islands and and Sweden. I would love to hear what you think, what is happening and what is the first thing that comes to your mind?

I believe the tecnique is impeccable. I imagine this like a new day is starting in this world and everything will be ok, but we, the spectators, are affraid for that communities and the danger it is upon em. Maybe the rocks have been there always and the people just got used to them, just like part of the landscape? Maybe they appeared this same day and imagine how the people and towns will freak out and eventually deal with this homehow?

I think the message can be interpreted in various ways but even if it slighly changes, is powerful. I admire your tecnique because i never asked myself that's some picture manipulation i was like "this is real and this is making me think and feel" something i believe is very important in a composition, and secondary, let the spectator ask theirselves the methods or parts you used for this creation.

Also I've never seem something simmilar, of course everything becomes from your inspiration and relating stuff that already exists, but I like this because is something new and original for me. Actually it has inspired me into writing something. I hope you can still be growing up as an artist and in the process keep making this awesome stuff for others to enjoy it, wish you the best of lucks.

A very powerful image. I view it as the fragility of our communities, this is a very real representation of a true danger cataclysmic proportions. Although this is a very real and known about risk, something that everyone has accepted who lives in this area. It is the unknown risks or disasters that are truly the scariest. Many would look at this and say, I wouldn't live here due to the dangers that COULD happen, yet we all live in a world where such disasters are not always as easily seen and can devastate us even more than this sphere depicted ever could. That is the best thing about this kind of art, it allows everyone their own interpretation. These pieces as well as others in your portfolio are great at thought provoking messages. So for impact, If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Uh-oh, that looks dangerous. Living in this town must be a thrilling experience - I hope they have evacuation plans for when that boulder starts to roll...
I like the soft light and the cloudy sky.

The title of the image kind of skews my view of it. It suggests that "Something" is about to happen, which is what I thought after first seeing the image and reading the title. However I noticed a second and third sphere on hills in the distance so it suggests to me that these spheres are common place and represent no real danger or "imminent" behavior. Those spheres almost look ancient, apart from a possible lack of weather wearing. The more i look the more questions I think of about those spheres, but I am also noticing the weather, what appears to be a storm appearing from the left. This fits well with the title with the foreboding nature of storms, however i like to think the bright white sky in the background is just as meaningful for the bright days that have past, or possibly to come if the storm is retreating (which i could think possible if not for the title).Β

Either way the image was wonderful to sit and think about and a pleasure to look at and into. Thank you.

thank you for the feedback! I think you have a good point, I have been struggling with the title, in the beginning I called it "Don't Worry" and maybe that is a more fitting title. Good points, thanks!!

This reminds me of that Thomas the Tank Engine episode with the giant boulder that had a face and kept on rolling off of a mountain and destroying things. I remember watching that when I was a kid and being really, really freaked out by it.

Either that, or it makes me think of stuff from the SCP Foundation.

Mad that you said Faroe Islands. I was at Torshavn in June last year. The hill on the left reminded me of where the ship I'm on was docked.

It's like when you see the rock, you breath in and go like: oh oh, like the quiet moments before the storm. I just saw it and all i felt was my stomach tightening because of
the possibility of great danger over the village.

...
Or it is harmless and completely beautiful to look at

Best wishes. Eltair

This is beautiful. I've chosen to have an optimistic view. I see several orbs on hills and I believe they're protecting the towns. Using a supernatural perspective, the spiritual energy of each town keeps an orb in place.

It reflects human nature. We push our boundaries and put ourselves in danger. Β  Can I ask how you took the house photos? They have a CGI resemblance which is quite brilliant really. It could be you just highlighted it in a way to look like this but it is interesting. Great work.

but in figurative speach this is really where we all live isn't it? love this multiple meanings can be found and it's a great image.

it's going to roll down the hill, smash the middle of the town, roll up the next hill and back down to smash the town again. it should do this 3 or 4 times before it runs out of momentum and comes to rest in the center or town.

people may just look up from playing polemon go on their cell phones and notice what is happening. no promises.

the townspeople can protect themselves by assembling giant pinball flippers around the town. be quick on the buttons and don't miss. should make for an exciting 4 minutes.
