Description Amargatitanis macni here is a sauropod from the Early Cretaceous (125 million years old) La Amrga Formation of Neuquén, Argentina.

Named in 2007, its species name refers to the Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales (MACN), while the genus name refers to the La Amarga Formation and the fact that it was originally described as a titanosaur. (In 2016, it was reexamined and reinterpreted as a dicraeosaurid.)

Growing up to 12 meters (~39 feet) long it would have been around the same size as its more famous contemporary, Amargasaurus—and there’s a chance the two might be identical, but without more fossils it’s hard to say for certain.
