While Forelle doesn't like to show off how she can do anything a seeing pony can, she sometimes takes immense joy in making jokes about her blindness to other ponies expense. For example, she said her mother’s repainting of the barn looked great. She was grounded for that but it was worth it.

She is the only Apple not to speak with the typical country Apple accent.

Forelle’s best friend is Berry Bubblegum, who is one of the few ponies who doesn’t make her blindness a big deal. Forelle was also there for Berry a lot in high school when Berry’s confidence was at an all time low.

Forelle can make her way around Ponyville by herself without a guide due to years of familiarisation. But she can only do this in Sweet Apple Acres and Ponyville. She still needs a guide for everywhere else.

Forelle has a guide dog, a quiet but highly trained golden retriever called Callery. Before, Forelle usually had to hold onto somepony.

Speaking of dogs, Forelle is very much one of those types who loves all kinds of dogs but hates cats. While Golden Delicious was still alive, she didn't see one of her cats and stepped on its tail, resulting in a vicious scratching. To this day, she will deny crying her eyes out.

She gets constantly told that she looks like either her grandma Pear Butter or Pumpkin Cake. With the latter case, Forelle just says dryly, “Really. Hadn’t noticed.”

Like many who are blind, Forelle’s other senses are heightened. As well as good hearing and touch, she has excellent taste buds. Her cousin Bramble has she taste test his jams made from the berries he foraged.

Forelle actually doesn't like Apples but loves Pears, much to (most of) her family’s shock.

Forelle enjoys listening to the radio or audiobooks a lot. She usually listens to historical audiobooks and dramas. She shares this interest with Opal, who generally likes boring things.

She was named by Grand Pear, who suggested a pear related name to tie with her grandma’s family.

She is very close with Grand Pear, who had taken up to living in Sweet Apple Aches. Despite his advanced age, decreasing eyesight and fragility, he is very healthy.

Forelle loves all of her older cousin, though she perhaps gets along with Orin the most, due to their love of heritage. They also like to talk bull about ponies to patronise them and Orin has made artwork specifically for Forelle to touch.

It's likely Forelle got her blindness and speckled coat for her biological father.

She and Lickety-Split have a thing for each other but both are too stubborn to admit it.

Forelle was totally fine when Applebloom began dating Diamond Tiara. She liked that Diamond didn't treat her any less because of her blindness and they bonded over their love of Ponyville. In fact, they grew so close that Diamond asked for Forelle’s blessing before proposing to Applebloom, which Forelle gave.
