I got some new 300lb paper so I decided to take it for a ride and see how it acts, I have to say, I won't be using it that often, I like the look of the lower Ib paper.(it might curl, but it gives better results.) I really like this birdie, and I developed a character based on the Blue Jay bird. I'm doing another one not the same bird tho, some other one. I'm not entirely happy how it turned out, but I do like how the bird looks...Thick and thin watercolors.

This is awesome! I love the way you have varied different blues and greens and different thickness of watercolors.
Bird looks really realistic and woman's face is beautiful. Hair are flowing beautifully! The decoration on woman's head is lovely detail.
How did you do those leaves on the background?

^^...from all the painting I like the bird the most too...Something about the hair leaves me unimpressed 
I went out to the front yard, we have a rose bush and I picked some leafs dipped them into color and pressed on to the paper...neat isn't it?^^

I have kinda same principle: I very rarely fix finished pictures; only if the mistake is huge. I rather draw completely new one.
But what I mean by it is better notice late than never is that we can always learn from mistakes we do even if we don't bother to fix them.
