At first she thought this was the hardest part of the plan.

Her job for the next six months was to stay away...take a vacation, do something normal...yeah right as if normal was ever Desiree's way.

Her bank account would be flooded with credits and for the first time in a long time her job description would not include taking a bullet for someone else.

Then inspiration hit her. If her job was to do nothing that had to do anything with the New Earthgov (knowing that eyes would be on her almost anywhere she went). She decided to go to a place where most wouldn't dare; San Diablo.

San Diablo used to be called Los Angeles but when a local gang went international it paid for the Mayor seat, it paid for most of the high ranking city positions, those they didn't pay for they coerced into getting what they wanted done.

San Diablo was now considered the world's drug center. It's streets were filled with either the filthy rich or the dirt poor, sellers and users. This is where Desiree grew up.

She joined one of the most feared gang sects at fourteen and earned the nick name "trigger". She rose fast through the rank of the underworld, each Tatoo, symbolizing a rankng in the organization, yet when her gang sect was taken over by another by force, the new head only saw her as a 'girl', a 'chick', something to look pretty, be silent and lie down, that's when she decided leave.

Desiree may have been an excellent "trigger" but the she took the time to learn on her own. Computers, robotics, nano engineering....she learned simply for the joy of learning. She could make it on the outside she thought, and she did.

Yet she wondered what had happened to her brothers she had left behind. She pushed off visiting them or any contact with them at all when she became Shao's bodyguard, but now she had time on her hands, six months to be exact.

It'd take a weeks drive to get to San Diablo by bike, but she had nothing but time.
