Told you my art has been really bad lately... this is just a doodle though. Started out on the touchpad while I was playing Pokemon Pearl. (Yay multitasking!) This is what it used to look like:[link] (top one, obviously)
Yeah, somehow it ended up with an entirely different pose by the time I finished.
Dunno how that happened.Sorry there's no background. I might add one later. I guess I was lazy.
(...do butterflies even exist in the Pokemon world? Probably not... oh well.)

Aww, Bulbasaur's always a classic favorite. This one is so cute! -^^- You seriously do a great job with coloring. I don't see how you can think otherwise. ><;;

Oh my gosh, it's so cute! (definitely better than anything I could put out during an art block... o_o) I love how you color. It's so smooth and looks painted and everything-- I can't believe you said you rushed the coloring on this and it still looks like that. I fail at smooth shading I guess, because I could spend a loooong time coloring a picture and it still wouldn't look like that. XD I actually like the simple background; it puts more emphasis on the butterfly and Bulbasaur.
... You know, this is so cute it actually makes me really like Bulbasaur (I was always more of a Squirtle and Charizard fan...) XD I liked how Pikachu follows you around in Yellow though-- I thought it was hilarious when the Jigglypuff would put him to sleep.

Aw, thanks so much for your kind comment! I really appreciate it. But it's honestly weird for me to hear people say they like the colouring, when to me it just looks so messy, and... bleh. But I'm glad you like it. I was always more of a fan of the Charmander/Squirtle lines as well, but Bulbasaur grew on me quite a bit. ^^

it isn't bad at all kynale! and the way you color is always been a skill i've wanted. but i think i'll stick to perfecting what i know already. but yeah, I like it a lot, its good. and i thought it was kinda funny that i knew exactly which pokemon, or that it was a pokemon at all just by the title

you are really way too hard on yourself really! i would have considered that a finished piece, i think those types of backgrounds that you have are better than most full blown backgrounds. makes you kinda wonder what else is going on, instead of just giving you everything to see.

I think they do eat Pokemon... D: There are references to that in both the anime and the games, like Farfetch'd being a delicacy. They never actually SHOW it though.
