The lore isn't very detailed; Essentially the Alans are in a more dominant position in Western Europe Post-Huns, and they absorb the Vandals and Suebi rather than being absorbed by the Vandals. During the conquest of Iberia, a wave of bubonic plague hits, severely depopulated and destabilizing roman society and institutions, leading to assimilation into Alanic society.
