Description
Remember that picture I mentioned where I practiced with lighting and transparency effects? This is that very one! I'm feeling iffy about it but this is the first picture where I made a decent effort at shading and glowy-ness and whatnot, so I'm still kinda fond of it. Plus this was just supposed to be a practice sketch so I only drew one eye...I need to get rid of that habit.

This would be La, a member of a dragonlike species in a story I've yet to finish planning. It's a strange name, but her kind is named based on the first thing they hear a human say and that particular human didn't get the memo. There are a few other eccentricities in their culture, but that's a story for another day. Anyhow, she's called a nymph in the title because her species works in a similar way to bugs(Though they're still human-sized when they take a human form). Of course, nymph isn't a very accurate term since these guys have a sort of "cocoon" stage.

And that background there was made from scratch, because I wanted to show off her transparent wings...and practice backgrounds.

This should be the last in my recent onslaught of picture-uploading, since I'm finally out of finished pictures, and the unfinished ones'll take time to color. Basically, I'll be going back to a normal pace(probably)!
