do not worry, i am not dead yet! sorry for the very long absence from DA, i had my final exams and they just finished the other day. so now that i am free for the summer, i can finally get back to my art! here i did a 'little' educational schematic of the kepler-186 system, giving the planets to scale with each other and their star. its a massive image good for educational posters etc. please enjoy.

you can read more about this system here:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kepler-1…

so please let your eyes enjoy and leave any comments, favs or critiques which are always welcome and appreciated!

I love the way all the info is presented; I wish there were more graphic posters like this for all the other extrasolar planetary systems.

That is freaking phenomenal -- I've got space-shot and first shuttle launch fever just seeing it at 10% size.

NON-TEXT COMPONENTS
I like the good use of shading along the strip of planets.  Edward Tufte would be pleased (I'm sure you know who he is, but for those who don't know he is the all-time guru of visual presentation of data).

TEXT/TABLE
My only "negative" (and I'm not sure it really is) would be that the table is just a bit busy.  It could use a little more relief.  I'm still mulling over what if anything could be altered in such a fashion -- given that you've already used font and color to some good effect I'm starting to think there just aren't any more opportunities.

As is:  If this isn't on the wall of every elementary & high school teacher's wall inside of a week it's a crime.
