I've been reading the New 52 comics, where he was red. Actually they changed his outfit drastically recently.
In fact, he's not even Nightwing anymore....but he's blue again.

Hrm...the comic issue is not out yet, so I'm not too sure what he calls himself anymore. They released pictures of his new outfit not too long ago, but not too much details about it.
Β Bascially what happened is that Dick Grayson's identity as Nightwing has been revealed to the world. He can't really use the Nightwing persona anymore, since there's no point to it anymore.
Looks like he might just be himself now--just Dick Grayson. But I'm only guessing. We'll only find out after the current major crises event in DC comics, and when the first new issue for Dick Grayson comes out.

Yeah, it's New 52. It's actually more related to a comic series called "Forever Evil" not the Nightwing comics, but he's a character in there.
Forever Evil is a seven issue series that includes a huge crossover of different comics and characters in the DC world. It's actually still going on, and the very last issue comes out this month. Forever Evil is really related to the Justice League. It helps if you have been reading the New 52 Justice League, but not really necessary I think.
It's a very interesting comic, and I like it a lot. It's more interesting if you know about other DC characters out there other than Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman though. However, it think most people can enjoy it, but...it does have a lot of cameos that make it fun.
...although it is a dark comic haha. Nightwing is one of the biggest causalities of the event, but not the only one.

That seems interesting. Yeh Im slowly getting to know other DC characters. Its hard because there is so much to know. But ill check it out for sure.

For me watching Justice League Animated and Batman: Brave in the Bold helped.
Also, I recommend watching DC animated movies if you can, like Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths and Justice League: Doom. Also, maaaybe Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox (although this one is alternate universe but it's really really good), and maybe Justice League: War (not very good, but it's not that bad either and it set-up the introducing of the New 52 Justice League.)
Uhm..in that order...especially. Hope you check them out.

Oh I've been getting in to the animated universes. So far I've seen some of JLA (need to watch the rest), Young Justice, Batman:the Animated Series, some of Batman: Brave and the Bold and also animated movies like Mask of the Phantasm, Batman: Year One (I think it's called that?) Gotham Knight, Under the Red Hood, Return of the Joker and others I can't remember (but they are mostly batman XD!) But some of the things I have seen have got other characters in them. Like I watched YJ quite recently and from that I really wanna know more of the other characters. I've also been watching DC TV shows like Smallville, Arrow and soon to be Gotham when that airs. They introduce characters from other DC universes. E.g. I heard about Green Arrow through watching Smallville because he is a character on the show in later seasons 
But I will defs check those movies out for sure ^^!

Hope you get into comic books more though, however, a lot of the TV shows are only inspired by the comics and may actually be noting like the comics at all...and vice versa.

oh the cowl without the ears? Haha that was an interesting take on Tim's costume too. I'm pretty sure Tim's costume at that time was a direct reference to Red Robin in Kingdom Come. But I think DC needs to redesign his costume a few more times.
