It seems like Simba and the others are finally making use of their singing abilities now.

Seeing as though there were four main TLK characters by the end of the franchise (Simba, Nala, Kovu, and Kiara), I started to make connections to the Beatles since there was four of them too. One thought led to another, and the result was this. I was heavily conflicted as to whether or not to make this anthro, but ultimately I chose to do so since the Abbey Road cover didn't give me enough room for their four-legged forms.

The cover to Abbey Road has been parodied numerous times before, and it's involved everything from Sesame Street and Minecraft characters to Five Nights at Freddy's characters. But never before have I seen a version for The Lion King, which is kind of surprising to me, since there's more than enough characters in TLK who could fit the Beatles' shoes in the shot. (Not to mention, that scene where Simba, Timon and Pumbaa walking across the log in the jungle should've inspired at least someone by now.) So I took the liberty of creating it myself.

This is actually an idea I've had for a long time now, and I first attempted it months ago. But long story short, this sort of thing was far beyond my drawing abilities at the time. So I abandoned the first version of this. It wasn't until last night when I finally gave this another shot, and thankfully, it didn't turn out like crap the way the first version did. This is also the second time I've ever done a drawing purely with digital elements; No on-paper drawings done to start off this time. Make of that what you will.

Just in case anyone gets confused, I drew this to make it look like they were walking over a thick log that extends over a jungle river, with vines and plant foliage marks for their equivalent of the famous zebra crossing. Because admittedly, it might not look like that in this shot.
