Description Malagasy bandit- a descendant of the ring tailed mongoose. These animals are pack hunters and scavengers in the plains of Xenocene Madagascar. They flicker their banded tails and hiss in order to communicate with each other. They often hunt in packs of up to 18 individuals.

Mikisaka- Malagasy for creep. These flightless bat descendants live on the understory in rainforests. They primarily feed on insects and use their large ears to pick up sounds from their prey/predators

Spiky mole- a tenrec descendant with mole like traits. Spiky moles live underground and feed on insects. Their quills are used as defense against predators that would try and pull them out of the ground.

Fulvusornis- name means ( brown bird ). It's descended from some type of grouse and fills the ecological niche as high level browsers. Their long necks allow the birds to reach food that other herbivores are unable to reach. Their strong legs and huge heads are excellent weapons against other fulvusornis and predators.

Vine tailed snake- ancestry is unknown. The vine tailed snake is a venomous snake found in the treetops. They're overall brown but their tail is a forest green. Their overall body is used as camouflage which gives it an edge against prey.

Giant baobab- with a full grown height of up to 80-95 feet, these massive trees are scattered throughout the plains of Xenocene Madagascar. Each tree has various animals inhabiting them: including birds, lizards, snakes, insects, and arboreal mammals. During the dry season, they shed their leaves and conserve water. However during the wet season, they take in as much water as possible and regrow their leaves.

X- a scrapped duck descendant. Too modern looking so it's no longer a thing.
