Here's a drawing of glavenus. The fire breathing, sword wielding brute wyvern from monster hunter generations.
In the first part of my monster hunter speculative evolution theory, I explained how glavenus and uragaan are descended from carnotaurus. So to be consistent, I basically gave this guy a buffed up carnotaurus body. I even shrunk down his arms drastically. This dinosaur basically developed a dunkleosteus like beak which is made out of osteoderms that fused together. It's used to crush and rip apart foes with its powerful jaws, protects its face from threats, and it sharpens its sword like tail.
The godzilla like scutes on its back don't have a clear cut purpose, however they're probably used as display or as extra protection from aerial threats.
And of course that wicked sword tail of his. Basically osteoderms on its tail fused together and hardened. It uses its jaws to sharpen its tail so it could cleave down prey and enemies alike, making glavenus a specialized and formidable dinosaur.
Unlike its ancestors which hunted smaller game, glavenus are known to hunt larger animals that may have defenses such as larinoth and apceros
