I actually finished this! Yay! >< Something "quick" I wanted to get done in between art trades. Would have been done sooner, but I got distracted by other projects... Anyway, I'm just happy it actually got finished, since normally when I start a "comic" project, I get it started...but then never really get it done... It just sits there, waiting to be worked on again. So I'm pretty happy I stuck to this one and got it completed.

And now an explanation for wtf is going on in the scenes!
This is actually part of the ending to my Versus fan fic (can be read here [link] ), and has some spoilers because of that.
After restoring their Crystal, and even meeting Etro, Noctis and the others are granted passage to leave the Underworld. Noctis is lagging behind as they leave, still mulling over all that had happened, especially the loss of someone else who had been with them until recently, Niveus (my OC). Prompto calls back at him to hurry up, drawing Noct from his thoughts for a moment. Noct looks back down to the crystal pendant he now has (which was once Niveus') when he senses someone else there. He wants to look back, to see her one more time, but they're not allowed to look back as they're leaving the Underworld (kinda like a Spirited Away deal). So, he catches himself from looking, and focuses back on the necklace instead, reminding himself that she is always with him. No longer so torn up, he is able to leave along with the others. Glad that he is able to move on, Niveus says her final goodbye.

It'll definitely read differently whenever I get to this part in the story, but as this had to be told visually, I had to make some alterations so it would make a bit more sense with images rather than words. Drawing it all came about 'cause I wanted to do a picture like how the last panel looks, and the rest ended up revolving around it Also wanted to have some fun with different lightings, since I usually don't try to do such strong back-lighting.

Anyway, as for the look of the Underworld, why is it all green fields, clear ocean, and bright sky? The look of the place was actually inspired first from Gladiator, the wheat fields Maximus walks through, and his line "If you find yourself alone, riding in green fields with the sun on your face, do not be troubled; for you are in Elysium, and you're already dead!". When Noctis and the others first enter the Underworld, they are in a different area, but, by the end, they wind up in "Elysium", hence the fields and look of the place.

Overall, it was fun to work on this piece. I had a lot of fun with the lighting, and actually kinda glad it looked something like what I had thought up in my mind to begin with, hah. It was also a lot of fun to draw a more close-up shot of Prompto for the first time xD And sorry for the un-inspiring paneling in this I'm not the greatest when it comes to that, and this was a pretty "slow" scene xP And I also put it all into one long post rather than a few "pages" since I didn't want to be posting up multiple pictures.
