Description
This is my new version of a mother for Basil (here's the old one [link] ). Her name is Amelia, and she's a loving mother and the wife of Richard Brettman, Scotland Yard's finest Inspector (hence where Basil gets his interest in crime solving
) I figure here maybe Basil had a nightmare, and she came to comfort him. And I imagine her singing this to him to calm him down [link]

Also, Holly and I have both done a few works on here with the lyrics to that song...hers with her OC Sarah singing it to her other OC Lucy, and mine with Ratigan singing it both to his daughter Danielle (my OC) AND to Twilight Sparkle from "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic."

Nothing works better to scare away bad dreams than a mother's voice and strong arms. What a touching scene; it's almost like that picture of Mother Mary and Baby Jesus. I worked with a lady named Amelia at my old store. She was one of the sweetest most caring people you could ever meet.
I'm playing Sleepsong and finding it to be very haunting. Since the vocals sounded familiar, I looked up to see what else they've done and I was right. I heard a song by them eons ago called "Nocturne" and it has that same ethereal quality to it:

Yep, exactly. I guess I was partly inspired by my own mother holding me whenever I was scared or had bad dreams or needed comfort when I was little
