Description TheExileKing commissioned two bird studies, a magpie and a crow. These were fun to make. It's always fun how many colours you get to play with in black and white stuff!
 
Also, foot note, this is the first time I've done one of these studies of a bird with open wings. That photo was just too great, had to use it! Turned out well, so I'll definitely be doing more of that!

I am always astounded... how do you draw birds so well? The feathers and all? It could be from some nature book!

Thank you so much!! >w< Birds are my favourite animals, especially all the tiny ones. I guess it's a clear give-away for what some of my favourite things to draw is xD

I like the looks of birds... but I am not very comfortable around them? They freak me out a bit, especially some of these destructive parrots.

I don't have any problems with cats and dogs... the get cuddled and hugged and played with and hand feeded, but birds... I don't know. They are so... unpredictable.
