i always wanted to make a little voodoo doll calavera. so here it is! the image in the back is for the loa(spirit) erzulie dantor. she is the spirit of righteous anger and protector of all women.Related content

yeah, its really interesting stuff! i actually added a sword through the heart to make it the correct symbol. i had forgotten in when i took this pic, and had to add it in later. since i meant for this box to be about erzulie dantor, not erzulie freda!

thanks! i actually forgot to add in a detail, so i had to fix it. i forgot to add a sword going through the heart! otherwise, its for a different spirit! ooopps!!

your little box work is always so interesting to look at.
you must have a lot of wooden boxes to be able to do all this pretty stuff. ...or do you just buy thick frames? either way, they pull off a cool look. ^^

unfortunately, i just used the last of these boxes! it is the end of an era for me! but it will just force me to branch out and try new options! thanks again for the encouraging words!

i will post some of the new commissioned boxes i've finished and you can tell me what you think!
unfortunately i dont think they will photograph as well. they are a little darker inside because of the different box shape. i may have to work with these for a while til i can find something else!
