Description ...The idea for this picture "came" from a very old movie I always loved, a 1938 French movie: "Le Quai des brumes" ("Port of Shadows"). ...Oh, the movie is older than me!!
...Jean Gabin (the actor who plays the protagonist in that story as a deserteur...) is supposed to be the man in my picture.
...And I enjoyied traying to draw this picture.

..."Dark and sinister"... ...Jean Gabin was often looking like "dark and sinister", even playng as a sort of "good guy"! ...He was often a "sinister good guy"!

...I know his appearance looks a bit "sinister", but in the story he is, after all, a good one! ...Talking about the actor, he really had always very odd (cold) eyes, but his eyes were a kind of "obsession" when I was a little girl!

Your drawing gives a feeling of tension between the man and the truck....Very well done Anna...I love the bright light behind the truck and the light of his face on the left...colors being in the center...creating tension....I love this style of your drawing!! :tmtn3:

...You can see something on YouTube but in a way it doesn't make sense that much...
It is a VERY OOOOOOOOOLD movie anyway: 73 years old, if I count right! !!
I saw it when I was a little girl (anyway not 73 years ago!!! ) and I loved it for the "foggy" atmosphere, a faithful dog.... [link]
