You're welcome! Thanks for the Scala info. See, that's how far behind I am on the International Opera scene since they don't usually broadcast the operas staged at the other opera houses outside of the US. When they do, it's usually on the public broadcasting channels and usually a year after the premiere. It's almost always the Met broadcasts I usually watch, but most of the operas I tend to watch are usually bits and pieces on Utube.
It's a bit hard to find a good version of "Donna non vidi mai", especially a version done by a good tenor since most of the tenors today (in my opinion) seems to lack an intensity or weight, and sometimes stability in their voices. It's nice to hear lyrical tenors, but when it's a dramatic role, I guess I tend to want a darker, solid feel. I think that's one of the reasons I'm fond of listening to the older tenors and Heldentenors, but it's sometimes a mixed bag. Marcelo Alvarez has a good version, and from the older tenors, I know there's a Corelli version of "Donna non vidi mai" and Jussi Bjorling also has a pretty nice version.

Thank you for the link to *GiΓ nella notte densa*!! It is very interesting! ...I never heard that much about *Otello*, just the famous *Credo*...
...There is a good *video-DVD* about Tosca, [link] I enjoyed to watch...
...About Corelli, I also found this *funny* thing: "In a 'Trovatore' production in Naples, Corelli angrily attacked a student in a third-tier box who heckled him during the performance. Outraged, Corelli bounded backstage, ran up three flights of stairs to the box and, finding the door locked, broke it down with his shoulder. In his Manrico costume, complete with sword, Corelli charged at the young man, but was restrained by two ushers. He was so infuriated that he lost his voice for 20 minutes, returning to the stage just in time to sing what he always considered his greatest ever rendition of 'Di quella pira.'..." ... ...

It captures the emotion beautifully!
My favorite opera. Love Nessun Dorma. Puccini is a God!
