That quote is so right somehow. And I like the texturing on the whole thing, its very neat and different.Β

Thanks! I read that book for class around the time I played SPM originally, and some of the character interactions were strikingly similar. And I like the book a lot, even though it is rather distressing.

Well, it's one of those books that we had to read in school and almost everyone hated except me. The Red Badge of Courage was also like that.
Look at me, sounding like an intellectual snob! I hardly read anymore...

Ah, that's not one I had. I didn't like most of my school books back then, but I kept them to read when I was older and I understand them better now.
Aw, that's a shame. I read way too much

I miss reading, I just don't have a lot of time. I'm trying to at least get into audiobooks when I'm drawing, and recently I'm trying to commit to reading a bit before bed each night.

I can't listen to audiobooks, I don't have the attention span to follow them x-x
I must spend at least half an hour a day reading something. I'm reading entirely too many things at once e-e

I used to be that way. Most are recorded at an agonizingly slow pace. But if you find an app that can play it back quicker, like 2 times the speed, it really helps! But I still prefer reading words, it's just that my commute to work and the time I spend drawing better suit me for audio.

SpaceDimentio In reply to Altermentality [2015-06-26 00:10:19 +0000 UTC]
I wouldn't be able to pay attention no matter what speed. It would turn into background noise if I was doing something else x-x

Where have I been that such great fanart for such a marvelous game?!? I seriously love how sinister Dimentio is, and how childlike Bleck/Blumiere looks. Its almost a reversal of apperances, yet you pulled it off fairly masterfully.

Yeah. Eclipse and I have already had a minor debate about The Scarlet Letter. XD It's a good quote though, you have to admit!
Thank you very much!

So cool! I love all the textures that you used. 'Specially the one on Bleck's cape and the yellow on Dimentio. C: Very awesome job.

Man, I'm impressed with the awesomeness of this picture! Stupid chess-masters, climbing in your window and snatching your people up. That's quite the grin of insanity Dimentio has! Plus it seems somehow different from your usual style... I think it's the lack of outlines.

Yeah. It reminds me a bit of the vector stuff I used to do, but with texture to it. I wanted it to look somewhat like a collage made with real materials. It's really fun to work with different styles now and then; this ended up being a "normal" drawing for me, but I started experimenting, and then... ta-da! MAGIC!

Magic indeed! I was thinking it kind of reminded me of Kirby's Epic Yarn, which I've still yet to play... And man, the Count has an epic cape!

It's a little bit astonishing that you found a quote that fit the picture so well. :I
Anyway, I like it! It looks nice. Although, Dimentio's smile, and this is just my personal opinion, doesn't look very good. He looks more like he's clenching his teeth in irritation than actually smiling

Haha. Actually, the picture is inspired by the quote. I read The Scarlet Letter shortly after playing SPM for the first time, and the way Chillingsworth preyed upon Dimmy - er, Dimmesdale - really inspired me for how I was to view the relationship between Dimentio and Count Bleck. The Scarlet Letter is one of those books everyone has to read and everyone hates, except for me; it's one of my favorites. I mean, obviously someone else out there has to love it too, or it wouldn't be a classic. Right?!
Haha, yeah, it does look a little weird, but it's supposed to be a creeper smile, not like the mirthful smiles you usually see him with... BUT THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK honestly I'm always happy to get something besides praise, I knooow my pictures aren't perfect XD

How interesting this style is. I really quite like it. The cutout shapes really suit Super Paper Mario for some reason. I really enjoy this, my friend!
