Would this be ok to use as a reference?

Not anymore. I have a Pliosaurus macromerus / Pliosaurus brachydeirus + spondylus skeletal in the works, so if you want to make your piece really accurate I'd wait for that (may take a while tho)

What's with the wizard? Is it a reference to the loch ness monster?

Oh nice! I love the idea of playing the marine reptiles during the dino times!

Just an fyi, it seems that there is evidence of 21 meter to 25 meter Pliosaurs! An expert on Pliosaurs, Robert Forrest, explains this from a young Liopleurodon who was bitten by a Massive Pliosaur plesiosaur.com/other/general.p…

that's the basis of the liopleurodon in walking with dinosaurs yes! However, this is outdated information, and overexaggerated in size unfortunately

I am NOT talking about the 80' Liopleurodon.

This info is AFTER the Walking With Dinosaurs incident. It's actual confirmed evidence for a 70 to 80 foot pliosaur.

That's totally wrong and outdated. Forrest never supported that and he needs to update his website. Read McHenry 2009.

As quoted from the source: "The problem with these few enormous bones is that we don't have enough material, or material of the right kind, to work out if they came from a new species of mega-predator, or from a very large individual of a known species. The jury is still out, and every time I go down one of the clay pits, I hope." this about sums it up. We have no way of properly scaling an accurate size until we get more material. A skull is simply not enough unfortunately to scale up this animal.
