Description Now sir's and ma'am
I'm sure to ask:
Just who are YOU
to wear a mask?
With every
        single
        tear
I'm faking,
Just a single question:
    Why?

Don't make me laugh
Don't make me laugh
Things are darker than
They look to be.
Don't you make
        me
        laugh
At you,
Does it matter what we say or
    do?

Different suits and
Costumes ma'am.
Places, Everyone!
Aren't we all just actors,
Simply players on this
        Silver
        Screen?
A Laugh, a cry,
A grin from Eye to
              I

Is what you'll get,
That's what you'll get
'Cause that's just who we are
When we're on the stage--
When we're going to Hollywood,
        my
        friend!
What a sorry sight
We'll be.
              Still--

With all the villains demonized
And all the heros great,
Where do all the people go
When they're simply wrong?
We're all just a
        little
        crazy
Living in this crazy world.
After all, What sanity has hate and
              love?

Mardi gras is every day
When you're trying to stay  alive--
No one likes insanity,
The flaws we all contain.
But still they're
        just
        beneath
The masks we wear.
When the curtain falls, so do
              You.

So, don't' make me laugh.
We talk 'bout the lies they sing which,
To put it bluntly: are all comprised
Of simple words and simple ties
That bind our mouths and blind our eyes.
These lies we tell, these truths we hide
Are simply just the game we play.
It's in our blood to wear our words
Like broken faces on our souls.
