Slowly getting my motivation back to draw, don't really have the energy to shade tho at the moment like I wanted

"Where did she come from?" A voice spoke, it sounded male.

"I'm not sure, some people found her unconscious along the shore, seems that happens alot lately even though the waters are quite dangerous." Said another, this one was female.

Mayu stirred, her head pounding as she was regaining her consciousness. When she opened her eyes she saw what looked like to be a doctor and his assistant, who shortly left the room once she awoke. She didn't recognize these people.

"Ugh...where am I?" She asked, using an arm to shield herself from the bright light that stung her eyes.

"You are in my clinic, my name is Dr. Albert. some people found you laying in the sand of our shore. Your in Staves Rest now." He said. Mayu's eyes widened. She never heard of Staves Rest before, not from where she was from. She never seen it on a map either. How on earth did she get here?

She sat up from her bed, panic rising as she looked at herself, she was completely different than she vaguely remembered. Her breathing quickened as she fell from the bed and pushed herself into a corner, making the doctor concerned.

"No, no no no this can't be happening." She spoke softly, pulling her legs to her chest. Albert tried to comfort her

"Now there's no need to panic, you arent in danger here. Can you tell me what you remember? Did you get attacked on your ship here? Can you tell me anything?" The Doctor asked.

Mayu shielded herself with her wings, trembling as she tried to think. Where did she come from? Why does her heart feel so empty? The more she thought, the more she got confused

She couldn't remember a thing

"I..I don't know.." her eyes filled with tears. "Why can't I remember anything?" She plead

Albert sighed "perhaps you hit your head really hard, do you have a name?" He asked as he wrote 'Amnesia' for her diagnosis.

"Mayu..my name is Mayu.." she sniffled, slowly calming down from her panic. "I used to be a masseuse I know that much.." she said deep in thought trying to recall anything. "And I think..I had a sister.." Mayu held her head and winced, her memory completely fogged. She felt lost, like she had everything she could ever want and now it was completely taken from her, it hurt.

Albert nodded as he wrote some more things down "it's alright Mayu, we will have you get settled somewhere and I'll speak with Gayley about finding your sister, do you remember her name?"

"Mm...Mist...Misty, her name was Misty."

"Let's get you settled, you need more rest. Come visit me if you ever need anything else." Dr. Albert helped her to her feet and lead the way to the Stumphouse to stay til she can get back on her feet.
